Live>Rewire>SX3 VST engine in Live disabled - Why?

Everytime I try to open Live5.2 as a ReWire-Slave in Cubase SX3 I get a message in Live something like "VST has been disabled", and I can´t use any of the VST-PlugIns and VSTi´s I'm using in my Live-Sets. I started working on songs in Live and want to continue integrating them into Cubase-Projects. So it's pretty unhandy that half of the songs is disabled...
Does anybody know why Live does this or how I can work around it?

I don't think you can use VSTs in Live while it is in rewire slave mode. You can use them only if it is a master...

Is there a way to run Live as a rewire-master and Cubase as slave? That would be helpful aswell... Maybe by syncing them via MTC or MMC?

Yes both programs on the same computer. I tried this by using the virtual midi ports "midi yoke", but I didn't get Cubase working as slave/Live as master this way either. The audio output of both programs simultaniously works fine on my RME Multiface at least...

Don't know, man, it sounds too much of a hassle for nothing, why don't you render your vst's before you rewire?

Hi everybody

I hace the same problem, If i frezze my midi tracks before i make the rewire with SX3 (live slave) than I can lesten my music but SX cant export the tracks which has a vst plugin insert! I think the only way if Live is the rewire master but i dont know how to do it! If anybody have some idea please tell me! Thanks!

So, you better convert to audio any tracks in Live where any vsts are involved before you export...
