Hi,
after 8 or more years without touching a mixer/deck, I've just restarted djing with LIVE, I've just completed my first set and I'm totally down into producing now.
I'm in WeHo, Sweetzer and Fountain.

I'm going to upload my set pretty soon, I'll keep you posted!

Ok, here it is.

After doing numerous DJ / Live PA sets with Live, i've moved on to the next level (fk. i'm drunk. every word i need to retype to correct typos)

the next level - what is it?

well, for me it is performing live with no DJ tracks, all original tracks, no backing track (fk off you iPod players). Basically i'm singing live on all tracks, playing live (bass or lead) and capable of fcking up at any moment.

lthe gig is in LA hangar1018.com this saturday 22nd.

anyone wants any real tech info about how i'm doing the MASSIVE show, then ping me....

I'm in Fullerton. I spin house (progressive, tech, electro, minimal, etc...) and produce tracks, although my own stuff tends towards downtempo. I'm game for a LA/OC meetup. I'm on the serato forums a lot as well. They've had one So Cal meetup that was apparently quite good and are doing another July.

Does anybody throw a gig but not in clubs?
There's a couple of gigs taken place at cafe as far as I know Karma, or ground work as a far as I know.

It would be great, if we have a user group at those kinda place.
We don't need to worry about get cloud, and sales whatsoever.

In addition, we can exchange technique or anything else right after the gig.

I'm kinda bored to listen acorstic gutars with singing over and over again even though I like them to some extent.

I'm from San Luis Obispo, CA (halfway between SF and LA on the coast).

I have used turntables and then cds after since 1998, but I've completely switched over to Live. My style is progressive based, breaks, house, electro, techno..

I also produce, but using Cubase SX3 (to utilize my 3 monitor setup)

Original tracks / DJ sets can be found at my website http://www.stillwaterrecords.com or on myspace - http://www.myspace.com/zstowasser

Cache - I really like your songs and style, and the fact that you play/sing live! way to go.. cool website!

hey zstowasser, cheers for the comments.

yeah, singing/playing live is the way forward. i've started playing with a bass player now and it gives another dimension. live bass always fkcin rocks.

i'm trying to decide whether or not to get a drummer. but i don't want to be a primadonna telling the drummer what beat i want, so will prob keep the drums electronic/sequenced beats.

next time i'm up around san Luis Obisbo i'll give you a shout for a pint!
