only 3 band eq aswell. 92 has 4 band. Is it really worth the extra 400 quid just for a built in controller...
I don't think the 4 band EQ was really that useful. I only use bass EQ when I mix. Anything else is just redundant with the volume control.
I don't know about the sound quality. I have read that the insides are the same as the Xone 92.
Don't forget, it is not just a mixer + controller. It is also a soundcard.
Is it worth the extra money? Depends who you ask. I say yes. The real benefit of the Xone 3D is that it allows much more seamless control of multiple sources. You can run vinyl, or CD on the mixer section... and run Ableton on the MIDI. Plus there is a BPM counter which is linked to the MIDI clock... so Ableton will auto-beatmatch to the MIDI clock.
I still do not have mine yet, so I can't say much more at the moment. I'll report what I think once I've got mine.

I'm looking to pick one up as well in the months to come. 1 big selling point for me is that it keeps a live rig very small. Laptop + 3D + few extra synths. I recently downloaded the manual and it looks like it ships with a rack mount kit as well - good news as it looked too big for one in the picts.

mine arrived on saturday
sounds fantastic .. better then the 002r i just unplugged
BUT i dont have working cartrages ATM so i havn't plugged a deck into it
i'm hitting the store in a couple hours
the thing is solid, feels great, and sounds awsome. right on par with A&H
the downside is that there are only 3 phono inputs and imho they are placed on the wrong channels of the mixer (gotta run in from ableotn on 1 & 2 and decks on 3 & 4, instead of decks on 1 & 4 or 2 & 3)

dayum, that's a good price. When I had mine on order, I got it for $2,300, but then with tax it jumped to 2599 or so. So, $2k is quite a deal. let us know what you think. BTW, I cancelled my order and got the pioneer one...subterFUSE wrote:what is dealer cost if you don't mind me asking?
