I dont know the english word for it, in swedish, its called "trioler".
Mayby someone understands what i mean.
how do i do a midiclip that goes in 16T, or 8T for example?
I can zoom in and put the tones in the right place, then move the loop-points and so on, but it takes time.
There must be a easyer way to do a clip in 8T?
In reasons matrix for example when you build a "midiclip", you just choose simple and easy whithout having to change the hole songs preferences.
Propably i just missed some simple button, but, help?
Midiclip in 16T, 8T?
well, you can record directly in triplets (that's the english word for trioler).
you must set it in the edit menu ->record quantization.
unfortunately, when you edit the data inside a clip, you first need to make it a T clip. Ctrl-3 is the shortest way for that.
then when you consolidate (Ctrl-J) a midi clip in triplets, it comes back to straight... so you'd better use the split function (Ctrl-E)
i work a lot with triplets, and i must say that it is not always very convenient with Live.
don't know about other apps though.
