i have a 17" powerbook and am running 10.3.1 with live 3.
after upgrading to panther live takes an extremely long time to launch (while showing "initializing the application") each time.
also, it appears that it will not recognize Rewire either as i try it with Reason. being new to OSX i don't know how to check and see if live has properly installed the rewire engine.
can anyone offer any help?

i'm curious, as i've had similar issues with 10.3.1 in terms of the time it takes to launch the live 3 once the splash page comes up.
what did ableton suggest? did you toss out the live preferences and start from scratch?
i've had a feeling that it has something to do with the default live template that launches automatically when the program starts, but i haven't tried to sort it out yet. live does finally launch but it takes something like 15-20 seconds rather than the 5-10 it took before i updtated to panther.
what do you advise??
