recording to a track

Hi, I posted the same question yesterday and I do not why it didn't appear up to date.

My question is when I plug in my bass through Creative Platinum 5.1 and record in Live 2 , I hear other sound tracks also record over on to the bass track again. How could I get the bass clean and alone in to one track? What are the settings. Please, help, appreciate your advice.

Hi bass...did you get any response to this? I did not see one, and I've been wondering the same thing...can LIVE do traditional multi tracking?

turn "what u hear" off in the creative mixer, otherwise what is playing is routed back to the inputs along with your bass.
