I HAVE to ask anyone who can help how to set up the Live rewire connection setup in LOGIC 5's environment...I CAN'T get any "Live" audio through Logic/rewire...and the Logic Manuals are completely useless about it...
I'm sure that it must be obvious to someone who kows, but Logic shows NO Ableton or Live track...and the "MixL/R" they suggest to use still don't give any audio...
The Midi sync seems fine though...
I would be REALLY grateful for a bit of help...!
Thanks.

logic5 rewire
create a new audio object in your environment.you can make a new layer if you want to first,to keep things seperate from your existing stuff.make the new object look like a fader strip by double clicking it and dragging it,to give it full size.with the object seleted,go to the parameters window, and select the kind of audio object you want it to be.if you select audio instrument, you can select which audio instrument it should be,such as 1 thru to 16 or however many you have access to.there is an audio instrument called-others.this is where rewire stuff is.the ableton options should be labelled ableton 1-2,ableton 3-4 and so on.define this new object as ableton 1-2(or whatever logic happens to call it-ableton mix, ableton bus1-2 or whatever).I believe the order that the respective programs are launched makes a difference.I think logic(or the host app must launch first). Also,I don't think that version 1.0 works,so make sure you have the most recent version.plaese note,I'm typing this from memory,so I may not be 100 percent accurate. You may also need to create a track in you arrange window that refers to this new ableton object.in my setup,I have both reason and ableton able to run at the same time under logic 5.1.3,its sluggish but it works.
