Need your help please. I just bought an upgrade to Live 4...

Look at it this way. Live is THE best sequencing/live performance software bar none. The quality is awesome and compared to any other software, like cubase, logic or pro tools, its dirt cheap anyway.

ive not tried all the packages in depth though so the jury is still out for me on it being the best

i like it though so far after 6 months of use

Do you think then it is not a legit copy? So maybe I should not pay the guy. What should I do? I do not want any problems for sure. I think Im just going to have to take a loss. At least the nice folks at Ableton support are trying to help me out. THis is the best customer service ever!

Regarding buying a legit copy, I almost got the latest version, but I had to spend on buying a controller. I contacted Anthony at Digitraxx who sold me the Axiom 61 and he told me that it comes with Ableton lite 5. So hopefully I can use that one too.

I would rather have the latest version of Live. I could never switch back to version 3 or 4, no chance.

but i tell you my opinion

- it looks like you bought a legit box with cd and manual, so you should pay the guy... but... it looks like you didn't get the serial number (meaning license), and that's the most valuable part of the package. that would also explain the low price on ebay.

but as said before, only the abes can tell and will help for sure.

Thanks R.A.W... I went ahead and paid the seller. I never knew that one needed to get another serial number. As far as I know when I unlocked my live lite version, it came with a serial number on a card and then I put that in online and thats how I unlocked it. Exactly I dont remember. I really thought that the CD should come with some sort of serial number. Oh man, I guess I just got giffed. Hope fully Ableton will help me out.

same here, but when i bought the upgrade to the full version i got a new serial.
anyway, i might be wrong with my conclusion, just wait for the abe's answer.
