OMFG Priceless!!! Didn't have to be Italy related.

Funny, Americans have a real problem with the looseness of soccer. Why don't they stop the clock, why doesn't the player get off the field, what's up with the dive? Even growing up playing soccer the refs were SOOOO anal about the sport, throw-ins and free kicks had to be taken from the exact spot of the foul, throw-ins had to be EXACTLY over your head, totally different pace.

Problem with video is that you can't really stop play, best situation I can think of is to have the refs 'up-stairs' on the wireless mics but the pace of play has to be maintained. Otherwise you can fine the players later, but wouldn't the clubs ultimately pay the fine?

FIFA has been open that they're evaluating the situation, godspeed.

I'd be mighty grateful if any soccer fans continued football talk as the other seasons commence. I get the Fox Soccer Channel, Premier League, Bundasliega, some other leagues too, just so much to track and stay into.

The beautiful game. :D

I am really , really impressed.
A german team showed you can win, even if you're not the best.
I am german but truly have to say, it couldn't come close
to this feeling we have, even if germany would have won the cup!

Amazing championchip and now let's see who's getting the cup and than i am ready for the
next german goal called"ABLETON LIVE 6"!

Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this has to be one of the worst world cups i've ever seen. yes the marketing was hyped, the germans were good hosts, but the game on the pitch has been nothing but shit.

i'm tired of the cards , i'm tired of the play acting, the diving, the french team.

this is shaping up to be a terrible finish with france already getting a PK.

thank god italy scored a real goal or else this would have turned into the biggest joke of all time.

Good game. The Italian players freaked me out, what's up with taking your shorts off after the game? Don't need to see the tighty whiteys guys, and the kissing and hugging and haircuts on the field? Crazy...

The announcers in the US didn't have much to say other than Zidane, Zidane, Zidane.

Life returns to normal, no more cup. :(

What COULD the Italian player have said to Zidane to provoke such a violent response?

"Your mama... she wearsa da Army boots..."

(Apologies to the Italians, and congratulations for winning. Awesome penalties.)

What a crock of... merde.
Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.
