All I'm saying is that there ARE too many dongles!
so consider this a "word, I feel ya."
Seems I've been doing allot of that today.......

Anyone ever find a good free step sequencer? I think 'My First Step Sequencer' was the best anyone found but it needed development.
i cant use that step sequencer...it's way too cheesy for me.....the notes dont even have note names or numbers...it's animal cracker cartoons!!
Oh, I get get it, I'm freakin' today.....sorryeyeknow wrote:I'm confused.......did I say or do something wrong?djadonis206 wrote:I would hit you up with a winking emoticon but I don't believe in that shit anymore - emoticoning peopleeyeknow wrote:Please do not misunderstand me......

you realise that you can click something in my first step sequencer and it'll show you the notes instead of those pictures.
and I talked to the maker of it and he fixed some bugs. he also made me 2 extra version with alterations on the random feature. the original random randomizes both pitch and velocity. the ones he made for me are a random pitch only and a random velocity only. very nice indeed.
and they don't crash live anymore.
the best thing about them is you can use the 16 buttons on your bcr2000 to control each of the notes (velocity max or off) and then you can use your bcr2000 very similar to the step sequencer on an electribe. assign 16 knobs to the notes and tweak away. it's not as useless as you think. and if you never open the gui then you never have to admit you're using it.

Mostly, I'm hoping for the following:
Improved metering and overall sound quality. Live "sounds" fine... until you get up to around 60 percent CPU. I notice a difference after there. Might have something to do with warping, yes, but it's very noticible to me. As long as it's stable in the next build, Live needs a SERIOUS upgrade in that department. It's mainly why I have been rendering then mixing in Logic.
Of course... increasing the effeciency will fix that somewhat with no other changes. But that's only fixing the symptom.
I'll have to say... Live 6 is coming out VERY fast. It seems like 5 just got going what... a year ago?
But... unless there are major changes, it's just numbers. I kind of feel like I should only have to pay a nominal fee for multi-processor support, but oh well.

I downloaded it and I'm having problems.
1- It only wants to drop into an audio track\
2- It won't start playing
3- It will only output audio (if I could get it running.)
Looks pretty straightforward though.

drop it into a midi track as an effect then create another midi track to recieve the output and set it to monitor in.
or what I do... drop it into an audio track and create a midi track to recieve the midi from the audio track. that way you can still drop audio behind it and the audio plays through it uneffected. that way you can have an audio track that is also sending midi.
