nice 1, a buddy tried showing me that once, but it never worked.

This should hopefully extend some lifetime out of my cables!

8) So simple, so necessary. Can't wait until my next concert, gotta watch the stage monkies.

Actually, seeing Foo Fighters acoustic Friday night. :D

Like, duh, you're expecting cables at an accoustic gig? :P  :D

(sorry DKF, couldn't resist)

It's a bit of a misnomer calling these things "acoustic." I think it's grown to mean acoustic bass & guitars (amplified!), and sitting on chairs/stools.

There will be cabling a-plenty, I reckon...

The audio school I attended had hours of class time about cable care. A friend of mine once applied at a studio and the engineer simply threw a cable on the ground and told him to wrap it while he timed him on his wrist watch. You wouldn't believe how often this is considered a 'skill' in the pro audio world.

perfect. it seemed that no matter how i tied up my cables they would always end up in a nasty mess either when i tried to unwrap them or when scrabbling for other cables in the sack.

nice find!

My friend who is studying audio production taught me this method of rolling cables. It's a valuable skill to have!

The dude in the video is such a token audio-dude. I love it.

That's where we're all headed... if you haven't arrived there yet:

long hair (what's left of it)

fanny pack (filled with a properly wrapped cable of course and a Qbox)

blue jeans (purchased from The Gap in 1972)

faded Allman Brother's t-shirt (with the word CREW on the back, tucked-in for some reason)

Will Farrell should make a spoof movie about a character like this.
