Ahdio Device problems

I'm using the Live version that comes bundled with Pro Tools and i am on a Mac with OS 10.3. When i start up Live tells me that the audio engine is off and i need to select one from the preferences. When i try that, i am given no option to choose from. Any ideas would be appreciated!

What device?

On my MBox, I need to ensure the "USB" light is lit before starting Live or the MBox will not be available as an option.

Hi ryanf,

the Live version that comes with ProTools is the Live Digidesign Edition. (In some cases it's a Live XS version, please look in the about view to be sure).
Live Digidesign Edition can just access Digidesign Audio Hardware using Direct I/O. To use Direct I/O ProTools must be installed on the system and the MBox must be plugged in before you start Live.

- Can you access the MBox in ProTools?

If you can access the MBox in ProTools but cannot select the MBox in Live's Audio preferences, please send me the logfile ("Log.txt") of Live loacted under "...\Preferences\Ableton\Live Digidesign Edition 2.x\".

Thanks, i wasn't trying it with the mbox plugged in, i thought that was only for protools.
