Bitstream 3X - Purchase Info/ Feeback needed please

has anyone worked with one of these?

good/ bad feedback?

does anyone know where to purchase them in the US?

krugger had one but got rid - i never asked why. it looked the mutts nuts. do a search for krugger and bitstream.

I recently inquired locally here in Toronto, Canada about these units as they are now being distributed by CME (http://www.cme-pro.com). There was no price and availability yet but I'm on the case as I think it would be very useful for one half of my controller needs. I'll post if I get a chance to play with one first hand.

they are meant to be amazing but make sure sweetwater have them.

i know two CME distributors around the world, one in australia and the other in taiwan.. they both told me that they had no news as to the availability of the bitstream.

they were meant to hit the world about 5 months ago.

I bought Krugger's BitStream 3X....

The thing is built like a tank. It is really flexible in that you can program every control to respond in different ways. The software for creating set-up is very deep and takes some time to get your haed arround... Best approch is to have an idea of what you want to do then look at the options to achieve it...

I'm very happy with it...

how personal can you get with the mackie control? i was hoping to set up the joystck to toggle from track to track, is that possible? or if not, what can be set up to toggle from track to track?

The bitstream 3X is a superb controller - I have had mine for almost a year now. Recommended.

i ordered mine from sweet water, sweet jesus was right they are not in yet,,,,still!!!! they say this is the month fo sho but we will see. can't wait

I have not yet used the Makie emulation.

The Makie emulation is in constant development. The first release was with the latest firmware ver 1.5.

Check out the PDF on this page, it covers exactly what is and is not emulated in the current version.

I have never dealt with SweetWater myself but from what I have read on the Internet they are very optimistic and sometimes wrong about product availability. Not saying that it is their fault as they are probably going off of what they were told from manufacturers and distributors but apparently this can be misleading.
The Bitstream has always caught my eye and if I recall correctly from when I researched it about a year ago it could be purchased in Europe from Bitstream and that is how some people have one but since they have switched to CME for distribution I don’t recall reading about anybody getting one from CME as of yet.

well i canceled my order from sweet water, they were lagging and i found my uc33 has more of what i need. if the bitstream had 5 more buttons i would have held out for it. so it looks like im hanging with the plastic for now

I heard from a german shop that they expect it middle-end of september.
too bad, because I need it latest beginning of sept.
for that reason I have to buy a poor uc33
