Live 6 and the Dj

Post by djshubs » Fri Jul 14, 2006 10:56 pm

As I have read and seen for myself, I have seen a lot of changes from the previous version to Live 6 targeted towards the Music Producers.

I was hoping if someone could shed some light on some features that would prolly benefit the Dj too.

Thanks,
Shubs

well for starters that Sasha fx-crossfade trick can be done in 2 seconds with a rack.

Also, 1 knob-> several functions - and the keyboard and midi assignments are now totally different entities, each with their own ranges and so on.

etc.

etc.

while using the dummy clip setup the sasha fx crossfade doesn't do much, it causes the feedback of effects etc to drop immediately. Could you suggest any other benefits?

Cheers!

The sasha- thing used two return busses - no dummy clips.

Any dj should get down and dirty with his/her own custom Racks - you can even use a knob to select between different effect combinations - still within a single track - or crossfade between them. It's so immense.

Can anyone tell me exactly how sasha mixes. Like exactly where the index finger of his right hand is when he is making a transition. I WANT TO DO EXACTLY WHAT SOMEONE ELSE IS DOING. AND I DONT JUST WANT TO DOO THE SAME EFFECT MY OWN WAY...I WANT TO USE EVERY KNOB AND COLOR ON THE SCREEN EXACTLY THE SAME.

I guess that means you also want to have the Help Window up at all times too.

You can start by sticking your left index finger all the way up your asshole, and then remove and sniff HARD.
