100% certain - Does anyone know if Live 6 can host plugins when operating as a rewire slave????????
Cheers

Any piccies of the video support?
Screenshot #5
Quicktime movie import
video window can be positioned anywhere on the screen (and on a 2nd screen!) and is freely resizable. stays on top no matter where you are navigating in Live. The audio within the video is treated like an audio track. Warpable and can be automated/effected as usual.
So if you change the tempo the set, the video speed changes?
can you confirm this?
if that is what happens to the video then it is completely useless for
post production and scoring uses..
the movie should stay completely in sync with the timeline via smpte (timecode)
i hope hope hope it doesn't change the speed of the video when you
change the tempo, that will ruin my day.

Listen to some early stereo recordings, like Hendrix's Are You Experienced album, (and many other pop 60's albums) they did a lot of hard panning on instruments. They were new to stereo and did some goofy stuff. Even 5 years ago (or so) with star wars episode IV and surround EX in the theaters, the panning was really awkward. The industry goes through a learning period where they overstate the listeners' understanding of new technology. There are mixes out there where this technique would seperate out instruments.

it will show in Session, but you must import it into arrange.
re:saving, havent tried yet.
gee... it'd open up a world of possibility if you could trigger video clips in session view wouldn't it?

It'll be indispensible for any film soundtrack work i do....
...but to perform live video and audio triggering from one application/one computer doesn't seem like such a huge leap now...
an exciting future ahead....

Hi Adamjay, and thanks for the informations. A few questions:
Is it possible to edit the begining and end of several tracks?
Is there a nudge option? Is it possible to nudge several tracks at once?
Is it possible to loop a sample without warp mode?
Is it possible to see the grid without activating snap to grid function?
Do Live6 keep launch functions?
Thak you

FLS and P5 can both host VSTi's in rewire slave mode
I was going to chime in on this as well. I'm sure it's not a limitation in ReWire, as there are products which are routinely used for running VST(i)s inside a ReWire slave in order to achieve augmented routing (namely, Bidule).
And, let me use this opportunity to rephrase my reaction to all this new Live 6 material: looking brilliant, thank you

yes to the first one:
if you select 2 (or more) clips in the arrangement that are split at the same mark, then they get "linked".
is that what you mean?
2 don't know about nudge
3 is no
4 is no (snap to grid is still Ctrl-4)
5 what do you mean? if you double click the Live6 icon on your desktop, yes it still launches it.
