Live 5.2b1b9 Beta online. Release candidate.
Hi folks,
we just uploaded a (release candidate) beta of the upcoming bug fix update Live 5.2.1.
Main focus beside several bug fixes is for the Tranzport (Frontier) device.
As "release candidate" implies we are close to the final release of Live 5.2.1
This beta is free for every Live 5 user.

Please send all beta related feedback to [email protected].
Current version: Live 5.2.1b9
Expire date: 2006-07-27
This versions has also some limitations:
- No manual is included
- No content is included
This version has enabled our bug reporter.
You will notice it when restarting Live after experiencing a crash.
Furthermore the Windows version has additional debug code to dump
information into the log file. Therefore the Windows version is a bit
slower as the final version (something between 5% to 15%).
Kind Regards,
Alex

Thanks Alex.
One thing I noticed straight away though was weird.High cpu use which I have never had on beta before. The Empty set showed more cpu use than normal.Twice as much almost. (I know is supposed to be slower beta on PC but never noticed this with OSX before)
I will test and send feedback anyway.
Edit : Nevermind .. it was hardware not software problem.

Just spotted this announcement and haven't yet had a chance to test. However, thought I'd refresh this bug in people's memories as I don't see it on the bug-fix list.
Speaker (and ear) endangering bug with UAD-1 and Live.
Cambridge: If I move the HC (hi-pass-filter) knob at the default filter type I frequently get a LOUD blast of digital noise. I'm talking speaker-blowing ear-damaging loud here. The filter just kind of explodes. The freq response display also goes weird.
Plate 140: When using the EQ module, upon boosting the hi-shelving EQ I get a loud click promptly followed by the huge blast of digital noise.
Thanks for listening.

It says that beta 8 expires on July 19th which is yesterday - so will there be another beta or is the release upcoming ? I'd like to upgrade to version 5 but would prefer to wait until this latest update is available.
