Nintendo DS as a Live controller

Post by Bumblebeeman » Sun Jul 16, 2006 4:59 pm

Don't know if this has been mentioned before but do any of you mad coders out there know if it is possible to use a DS as a controller for Live either wirelessly or USB using all this homebrew malarky

I reckon that using the touch screen with the stylus in conjunction with the buttons would be awsome. Say a grid with all the tracks in it ,tap the screen to access the parameters in each track ,use the stylus to automate parameters.

live 6 multi parameter controls with a single controller on a DS could be sweet.

yeah that looks like the sort of thing ,maybe i'm wrong but but it looks like it does'nt transmit midi ,it only controls the gameboy sequencer.

Hi Bumblebeeman, i can't answer to your question, but i'd like to comment that there's a nice tracker for the DS that u should check... http://nitrotracker.tobw.net/

I use a bog standard wacom tablet on occasion - lotsa fun, and with macro controls in live it's even *more* fun!

yeah that looks cool ,which makes me think that there must be some way of transmiting midi out to Live using that type of interface.
