macbook pro and mbox oo1 issues with ableton

Hi ... hope someone can help me. When monitoring though live 5.2 on my macbook pro, using an mbox 001 as a sound card I'm getting a really loud distorted kinda white noise sound... I'm stumped as to how to fix it... I don't get the same problem monitoring through protools and if I use the internal sound card all is ok. It's really now beginning to bug me as I never used to get this problem with my mbox... I've re installed both programs and still get the same issues.. Is this a bug in ableton or are there still some compatability issues I missed out on, cause I really need this set up to work. any help please would be greatly appreciated.

all is good .. I found an update for protools...that had a fix for it..
