Can I record the click track device in my mix before the track starts to count in 8 measures and then have it shut off when the mix starts?
Can someone walk me thru this?
Blessings,
Erik

im not sure what you are asking.
you could record a click track (just a kick drum or whatever sound you want) to its own clip and have it be 8 bars long and turn loop off.
you could then route this "clicktrack" clip to your cue out instead of your master out.
does this help?

Can you not resample this from inside the program? I don't have the program handy, but...
The metronome .wav files are in the ableton directory. On an XP machine that will be something like c:\program files\ableton\resources\misc. So browse to that folder and then drag and drop the files into the session view. You should be able to figure it out from there.

if you dig around you can find the metronome sound that ableton uses, it's a wav file called metronome.wav there is a second one called metronomeup.wav search for them and sequence them in impulse, then use some automation to make them drop out when you want them to.
