Waves plugins work with Ableton? (XP SP2)

Sorry if this has been covered, but I searched and wasn't able to come up with much. I want to get the Waves Native Power Pack and have been reading that it doesn't work for Live -- but it seems to work for every OTHER DAW. Can anyone enlighten me? This is the difference between having to buy another DAW program and not, so it seems major. Thanks.

ETA: I'm using XP, so I guess that means I would need VST versions of all the plugs.

Live 5.2 and Waves Diamond Bundle 4.0.5 used exclusively with the AU waveshell. (OSX 10.4.7)

works flawless, here.

I use Live 5.2 under Win XP SP1 with Waves Ren Maxx and Masters (with the 5.0 and 5.2 VST waveshells) and have no problems at all.

BUT do test the Waves demo under SP2.

Sorta OT, but has anyone used the Renaissance pack yet? How is it with Live?

i had major vst and au issues with platinum under panther so i gave up
it would crash live and prevent any reopening until i plulled the plugs out of my au/vst folders

it works flawlessly in 10.4.7!!!!!!

Is this really true? I have had so many problems with Waves I pulled all of them from my AU folder I guess I will give it a second try!
