Nice!

I think i'll be getting a Macbook with maxed RAM at 2 gigs... should be more than enough for musical applications, at a very good price.

I have the 2.16ghz macbook with 2gigs of ram. It absolutely smokes. I can't imagine how great it will be when live 6 comes out and takes advantage of the other half of the processor. This is the best laptop i have ever owned.

the 15" weighs 5.6lb's
the 17" weighs 6.8lb's

to keep the price down, get your 2nd gig stick at a place like Macsales.com instead of direct from Apple. they have 1GB sticks for about $109, and guaranteed to work with your MacBook Pro. Where as Apple will charge you $300 for that extra 1GB stick. You can use the $191 you saved on getting a faster Hard Drive, or Ableton Sampler :P

The Macbook uses shared graphics memory, smaller display resolution, and has a non-lighted keyboard.
