Mac OS X/M-Audio Firewire 410 - No Audio in Live

Post by Pablosan » Fri Jan 09, 2004 2:40 pm

I've connected the 410 to my TiBook (667) and installed the drivers. The 410 utility sees the hardware just fine. CoreAudio sees the hardware just fine. I even got the Reason demo to work just fine, but Ableten Live tells me that it will only work with the hardware it was shipped with (the 410).

Live tells me to go to preferences and select the audio card, but there is nothing in the drop down box.

I'm guessing someone has run across this before... what am I missing?

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,

this is probably because an older version of Live Delta that cannot yet handle the FW 410. Please contact our support ([email protected]) about this problem.

regards,
Alex

I've tried the FW410 with my pbbok under os 10.3.2. It worked straight out of the box with DP, Live and Reason. I had to go back to 10.2.7 though because the cpu was jumping all around and I had to multiply my buffer size by 2 (at least) to make things work like they did on 10.2.7. That also concerned my motu 828 so that's not a FW410 issue.
