Midi Foot Controller

Post by davy » Sun Jul 23, 2006 1:14 pm

Hi, I'm looking for a simple midi foot controller to start/stop live clips. Only one button is necessary, so I'm not looking for the fcb1010. Does anyone know about such a thing?

I want to use it for looping. I hit the controller and the clip starts recording. I hit the controller again and the clip starts playing. After that I can move to another track/slot with my normal keyboard.

Thx!

use plogue bidule for mapping/routing

and any input method you choose, even an old sustain-pedal, a broken guitar-pedal, the arcade-style buttons they sell for $1.95 or whatever. It'll all work. And it's usb powered and costs 35$.. what's not to like?

It's simply a raw usb keyboard with screw terminals. Hook up anything you like and assign it in Live, just like you would a regular computer keyboard.

I think you could probably get away with the Midi Mouse by Tech 21. It has 3 buttons and I believe is around $100, however unlike some of the cheaper ones (ie: Rocktron Midi Exchange) you can use it as an up down and then have the center switch be active. I think his would allow for scene select and then with Record on scene Launch you could start recording and go into play mode with the extra switch. I hoipe that makes sense.

Cheers
