I've been checkin out the screen shots of Live 6 and once again they failed to include metering on the mixer channels in live 6 I cant for the life of me understand why they continue to leave this feature out. This is a big inconvience and slows down my work process when sampling. Dont get me wrong I love this software I spend many hours a day immersed in it and as I said in previous posts I have to run evrything I sample through the Inspector plugin on the master track which involves me having to stop all my other tracks so I can adjust the volume on my source to make sure I am hitting no more than - 3 decibal to allow head room for the final mix. This really upsets me and Im not sure if I want to bother upgrading to Live 6 now. I have nothing but Love for the ableton crew and everything they've accomplished. Live is a dream come true for me, coming from a mainly hardware based studio background, but everytime I see an update that dosent include track metering I feel more than dissapointed. Please Please Please consider putting this function into Live it may seem like a minor feature but believe me it is a major inconvience for me and probably others ( I know my sound engineer isnt to happy with it ) it would save me so much time to be able to sample on the fly without having to stop everything just to get the levels right. I hope someone from the Ableton Developement team stumbles upon my post because once again I mean no disrespect but leaving this feature out is just plain rediculous...
Sincerely

p.s. - I apologize for any mispelling or poor grammer Im still not quite awake yet ......
