Can't open more than one VST plugin window

In 5.2.1 if I have 2 or more instances of the same VST I can't open both the plugin windows at once. I thought it was just happening with MicroTonic but I have tried loads of VSTs and it does it with all of them. Has anyone else encountered this or is it just me? This is on XP.

Check in the preferences..
On the same page that has the options auto hide plugin windows I am sure there is an option that will sort this.

You mean the Multiple Plugin Windows option, it is already turned on.

The plugin window frame appears but not the contents. I've also just noticed that when I try to open the second window, the CPU in task manager jumps to 100%.
