Test 4: Play the Live Demo Arrangement, what is your CPU level at when bar 42 comes in (i.e. after pressing play and when it hits the part of the song were most of the tracks come in- bar 42)

Which demo arrangement is that...??
The one I have with 2.1.1 was created 23 July.
All the clips/tracks are in way before bar 42....most tracks are in at bar 9 and the song ends at bar 55

Anyway with that in mind here are my results:

Make: Mac AGP graphics G4
OS: 9.2.2
CPU: single 533
Sound card: MOTU 2408 Mk II

Test 3: loaded 6% .....by bar 9.... 27%
Test 4: bar 42 .....27%

BTW, what were tests 1 and 2 ?

Re: raapie here with Sony PCG-Z1SP Centrino laptop results

Post by milka » Thu Jan 08, 2004 6:52 pm

Hi, Rappie i am considering bying a Vaio laptop in Japan-Tokyo ( my friend goes there tomorrow) , should i go Z1 Centrino 1.7 Mhz or GRT-Pentium 4 HT 3.2Mhz model, i wonder how your Centrino Z1 performs with other audio apps like Reason , Qubase SX or Logic Audio , like what's the CPU load and tracks count in other apps, i am personally prefer the Vaio Z1 design than the bulkier GRT models ...but does the performanse gab huge or not so...?
thanks in advance,
peace-milka

I put the power options on 'always on'. Will repeat the test with my RME Hammerfall when I have installed it.

This Sony looks fantastic and performs as fast as a fast desktop PC. It seems that the Sony fan is so quiet, I can only hear it jump in when I put my ears one inch above the keys. I love this one... it's so sexy!

I m curious about latencies with onboard soundcards, how fast does a centrino process the audio (input + output) with onboard sound?

Im getting an ibm r50p (1.6ghz centrino) in september :D

At the moment i have a p3 1ghz dektop pc and the best i can get is 20 ms (in + output) and i find this to be quite much.

If i lower i m getting dropouts.
