I've been considering a jerker, but the Ikea site says it holds up to a 21" monitor. I have a 23" (flat panel). would I be ok?

Yeah. No prob. I have a table rack+a bunch of stuff on my top shelf. I bet they're talking about the weight of a 21" CRT. Your 23" LCD should be much lighter.

Ah - now YOU'RE talkin' my language, Nymbus!

Tell me, are the turntable shelves mounted on the OUTSIDE of the 2 uprights? Could they be mounted on the INSIDE to get each turntable closer to the mixer?

Could the turntables be rotated 90degrees so that they are mounted battle/scratch style?

Nice friggin' set-up![/img]

nah, everything is pretty much wired in this pic. you can kinda see the RCAs on the right of the 3D but thats becuase this was taken the day that I got it.

I've moved a couple of things around since then too. For example, I was able to move the turntables a bit closer to the mixer by swithching the side that the arms of the swivel shelves were screwed into. I'm also going to look into getting a foam wedge or something for the mixer to put it at a slight angle.

The shelves can be mounted on the inside as well. I don't know s**t about Djing, so "battle style" - I don't know.

Battle style means rotated 90degrees, so that the tonearm is at the BACK of the TT, not to the right. It just menas you have more room to manuver around the platter/record for scratches.

How is the shelf mounted on to the swivelling bracket? If it's held on with 4 screws/bolts it would just be a case of rotating the shelf 90degrees and bolting it back down...

Seriously - this has got me salivating! Nymbus - do you scratch? Could you give it a go and report back on how the tonearm skips/doesn't skip???

Appreciate it, Mate!
