Hi -
From Live Lite 4.1.4, if I bring up the SampleTank and load a patch, I can play the sounds with my mouse, but not with the padKONTROL or my keyboard. If I bring up dfh, pad 1 will play the kick drum, but nothing else.
I'm new to the Mac, so I may be missing something basic, but I installed everything according to the intructions, and the padKONTROL appears to be setup correctly in the Audio | Midi Devices folder.
I've already heard from the Ableton folks that I'll need to upgrade (waah) to version 5.2 to get Live to perform without dropouts on the iMac, but I expected the basic midi functionality to work.
I'm using the Intel-based iMac Core Duo. If I startup Garage Band, it will play the software intruments, and I can send midi from my keyboard (Triton Studio) through the unit.
But if I load a scene in the editor, and hit transmit, I get the following error message:
Transmit Scene Set Failed: Device is not connected. (It is SO connected!)
Does anyone have any ideas that might help get this working? If I can't get this going with Live, is there any other way to get the dfh and Korg drums loaded without buying another sequencer / DAW? (It doesn't look like Garage Band is setup to work with plugins, right?).
I bought this thing because I thought it would be an inexpensive way to get a midi interface and some software to get started with music on the Mac, but it's not turning out that way...
thanks,
david
