firewire410 midi bug ?

not sure if this is a bug or if my unit is malfunctioning or something but recently when I try to feed midi notes into live it just doesn't responde. I look up in the top right corner where you usually see that tiny yellow light and it isn't doing anything, so I go into preferences and make sure everything is the way it should be and it is. so then I unplug the fw410 and plug it back in and sometimes that works and sometimes not. sometimes restarting live works.

maybe my unit is bad, but maybe it's a bug.

just installed latest drivers, will keep you posted.

i never managed to get midi from my FW410, and it's notoriously bad for that.

i think, you'd better use something like midi-ox to check if you've got midi in at all (without even starting Live).

well it's working at the moment with the latest driver, we'll see if it drops it though as it was doing. cause I used to be able to get midi going and then randomly it just wouldn't work.
