No its fine, i've been using it on my 12" for a while.. it does get a little crowded, with the more scenes and clips you have, and when you start to add effects, but you just have to minimize some of the window that you're not using..

Its not unusuable at all..

On a side note - I'm gutted there is no 12" Macbook Pro!! Rubbish. 15" isn't that portable?!

A 12" powerbook is all I use for Live.

I wish there was a small Macbook Pro though.

I love my iBook.

wow im surprised. thats good to hear. though im sure its a step down from my 24" dell. never run out of room on that thing. i dont suppose someone could post up a screen grab from the 12" just so i can get an idea.

thanks if possible!

im loking at getting the dell xps 12" when they release it with the duo 2 core. that thing packs a punch for a tiny little machine. heavy for a 12" class but impressive. I also wanna use it for 3d, though when id do this id plug it into a big screen. it would work well for pumping out visuals through its second output too because its got a pretty fast graphics card.

i have tested it on a 13" (not mine) with 1280 x 768 and find it fine
i plan to buy one and use it at home with a second, bigger screen.
the small screen is enough for gigs

i've used dell 700m for almost two years now
for playing out with indigo dj
and it never crashed on me (knock wood)
i use it to make music on the train also
the screen is small, but wide
the only issue with dell is the ground loop noise

12" g4 powerbook resolution is the same as the 15" g4, right?

So I guess it's just a size thing.

I've seen a lot of leading DJs with 12" powerbooks - it seems to be pretty popular with them.

12" PB 1.5 G4 here, no problems with the size. I don't run a lot of tracks, and I tend to hide the return tracks, so I usually make do with the screen real estate. If I do need more room I'll shrink the track widths a little.

no probs here on a 12" powerbook, plus the 2-finger trackpad feature makes scrolling around a doddle.
