Thanks for posting that, I've been wondering what you did.

Pretty cool, you found some nice swing in the vocal sample, I like the programming. This would be really cool with video, something to accentuate that higher synth line and the poem. Images of the decline of western civilisation and bouncy balls that go along with the synth.

he he - thanks - this isnt actually the one I did originally, this was an update I did quite recently

hearing you say that about the decay of civilisation and high synth sounds makes me think it's maybe a weird combo - like it should be darker....

I think it's a tough thing to pull off, make a song based around a movie line. I tried the same thing with lines from 'Who's Afraid Of Virginia Wolf' <watch it with the misses and a lot of alcohol, one of our all time favorites>. Great movie to sample, I did a whole thing about chromosomes and drove myself nuts finding stuff to go with it. This was loooong before Live, I just had my Roland jx305. After that failure I'm motivated again to try the same genre with the same sample, I ripped it from the DVD.

REAL vocals are much easier to work with.

BTW the Neil Young lyrics in the background of that sound byte are great "there you stood on the edge of your feather expecting to fly..." (what song is that?) it goes right along with the monologe. Terry Gilliam, wow.
