Line 6 <> Ableton delay

Post by erwblo » Sat Aug 05, 2006 7:05 am

I hope someone can help me. I bought from Line 6 the Toneport UX2, a nice machine to plug in your guitar or microphone. But the the delay problems start. I think i should solve them by setting the delay or predelay on a channel or on the master. Is that the way to go? And any suggestions how many msecs it should be? I work with Ableton Live 5 on a Powermac. Thanx in advance.

ok, mac............coreaudio.........

go to the preferences and make sure that toneport is listed in the two settings under "coreaudio"

If that is already done, open toneport/gearbox to get to THAT set of preferences and check to see what your set at there............

optimal is a matter of choice, depending on you cpu power, but I set up live to run at 24 bit and 96k sampling rate, you can now do that with the latest gearbox/toneport drivers!

at a buffer setting of 512, running with the sample rate at 96 you automatically get a decent ms setting (roughly 5 to 10ms)

if that didn't make sense, repost and I'll try to help more
