Newbie with Motu Traveler

Post by Clinical » Sat Aug 12, 2006 3:09 pm

OK guys this is simple stuff but I'm overwhelmed should we say! I mainly DJ in Ableton, so just starting production.

OK I'm trying to connect both a condensor mic and synth into the traveler (which I can see audio is getting there on the traveler), but then trying to get that audio into Ableton is another thing!

Condensor mic is on Mic 1 with phantom power on.
Synth is in line in 5 and 6 on mono jacks.

Help please!

You need to select the appropriate inputs in Live and then click on the Record button.

Firstly the ins need to be enabled in the live's preferences.

Then set an audio track to "Ext. In" on the input.

Just below where you just set the input to "Ext. In" a white box lights up with all your available ins. Choose the pair your synth is coming in on (was it 5/6?).

cheers
