My first track - Funky House

Post by unklmic » Mon Aug 14, 2006 3:27 pm

I have just been told off for posting this in the general section, no doubt because such a masterpiece should not be missed...

I have almost completed my first track - still need to record vocals though.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I am not sure that the bassline does it any justice though.

It is the Madikwe file in the above folder.

Cheers

for a first one it is not so bad!
pretty good balance and quality sounds; a bit to static and simple for my taste, but hey; that's taste.
must say the bassline just makes me wait for sabrina to come in and sing
boys boys boys
you're looking for a good time...

hehe

if you do a videoclip like that one as well, your set.

You'd like me to dress up like Sabrina, sing boys boys boys and send you a video clip!?

What kind of a site is this anyway?

Thanks for the feedback!!

ok beats are good, great shuffle on the hats, unless its a loop ??
quite an electro and 80's touch to this, which seems to be the trend well has been for a while, not sure its funky house sounds more electro or
something, sounds well produced to me, kick and bass work well together

Pretty excellent track to be sure. Could be mastered a little closer to peak, but I don't have a whole lot to say in terms of technical or artistic pointers. Great work.
