my liveset. electro techno acid n stuff

Post by martin808 » Tue Aug 15, 2006 8:49 pm

I've told loads of people i'd record a liveset so here it is.

martinlive - 50ish minutes 70mb

It's me, a laptop, live5, a big bag of loops, uc33e, abl with pcr1 controller, and an electribe mx which sounds as if it's went out of time a couple of times. sounded ok at the time but everytime i hear it i notice another mistake.
oh well!

starts off with some lo fi downbeat stuff and ends up full on techno. with splashing of electro and acid in between. all my own stuff.

I'll try get hosting for it in a couple of days. sorry bout the yousendit.[/u]

a jeez; have to become a member first??
rapidshare.de is a lot friendlier than that, allthough you have waittime and that sort of stuff as well.
if I cannot stop the curiosity I have at the moment for your liveset in half an hour I might become a freakin member 8O

hehe; downloading now
thanx and will let you know what I think

by the way; my one and only track I put on this forum a while back which you commented nicely on, "warm"; is coming out in september and got some awesome responses from the dj-incrowd, including my new favourite upcoming man Ripperton

that's some tight sounds you got there mate.
really like it around 29.30 and 34 minutes.
beastie boys at the end is a nice fade out..
you don't make it easy on the people, but I think you don't really are trying to :D
so then it's cool. It is pretty obvious to me where most of you influences come from; and I mean that as a compliment, but it made me think drexciya a couple of times

excellent stuff man

and you know how these things go; you hear it all as the creator, but I did not hear anything really bothering me with being out of sync (to much)

was this an actual live set at a venue? or one at home?
and what's the 303? emulation or the real thing?

detroit, baby!

thanks :D

The set is a replay of a gig i done 2 weeks ago. it was in a big tent in a forest beside a loch surrounded by mountains. i would say just over 300 people turned up. It went on for 24 hours. pretty crazy weekend all in.
sorry, these pictures are fucking huge

The guy i usually gig with couldn't play so it was my first time solo. I was playing at 2am so i didn't play the slower tracks that are at the start of this mix. i played a few others that i didn't include in this mix. I know it's not the most instantly accessible dance music but the crowd loved it.

the 303 stuff is all ABL I have the VST running live and i have a PCR 1 controller dedicated to it. I have it going thru all sorts of effects. lots of fun and looks good when your playing live.

the next record is on it's way. it's all my fault that its taken so long. I wasn't happy with a couple of tracks that were going to be put out and i needed time to sort them out. i've had the label breathing down my neck to hand the final stuff over. Everythings ready to go now so it shouldn't be long.

you can hear some of the tracks at http://www.myspace.com/pointonerecordings . disport is my track, fin is my mates.

 i haven't bought your rec yet. I was just listening to it there. oxytocin and sylvia saint are amazing tracks, i really need to buy it.

I dont think you have to sign up. I think you just have to select the free option and it makes you wait 60 seconds or something.
