Children are sponges. Generation after generation, the same shit. If no one breaks the cycle, it will continue this way until the end. Do you think the wars are setting a good example of love and peace any more than their own families who raise them with hatred and fear. I fear the current climate of violence is really no good for anyone.

By all accounts Hezbollah has won this 30 day war. Bush has backed off disarming them, Israel has changed their rhetoric too. Hezbollah, Syria, Iran are emboldened. Even moderate Arabs are throwing their fists in the air for them.

Another moronic miscalculation or was terror dealt a worthy blow? Please!

How can this be so right for some of you confused and uninformed chaps?

How about just President of the United States of America? 8O

As the president of the most powerful country in the world, every US president is going to make unpopular decisions.

The scene in Nebraska?...flat :D

...If you mean by "so right" you mean Israel's sharp response against aggression, then I would say that Israel has deterred conventional attack.

...If you mean by "so right" you mean the West's hand wringing and fingerpointing to Israel over casualties who were the fault of Hizbollah, then I would say you're right unfortunately.

The moronic miscalculation wasn't fighting back against Hizbollah's aggression, the moronic miscalculation was not pushing through to the Litani River. The miscalculation was showing timidity in the face of international pressure to minimize civilian casualties.

Yes, civilian casualties are lamentable. But we didn't win World War II by only bombing card carrying Nazi party members, we devastated Germany. There was a society that allowed themselves to be dominated by an insane, militant group... And the Germans (including my grandparents) paid the price.

Israel's reluctance to hit Hizbollah hard enough (because Israelis value human life, while Hizbollah uses human shields and tactical deployment in schoolyards) is what's caused this fucking disaster. The fact that Hizbollah remains mostly intact is proof itself of Israeli reluctance to target civilians.

Certainly Hezbollah has not been deterred, but rather strengthened as the world news organizations have pointed out in concert.

If I shoot at your neighbors from your yard and they shoot back and kill your family, are you gonna tell them its ok cause it was knotkranky's fault?

Then this bestows you with the biggest set of balls in the entire world.

Sorry, I see no correlation. Wipe out millions of Lebanese because......?

Pretzel logic. Regardless, Israel has shown its cards and a weak hand at that. Iran and Syria are feeling very tough right now. It is worse than before.

A man in your position may see me as anti Israel. Understand that nothing could be further from the truth. I am anti bomb your troubles away.

"germans allowed themselves to be dominated by an insane militant group" - one of the most foolish statements ive heard.
funny though, sounds strangely familiar, thats exactly what a lot of people are saying about the US right now.

But not every President is going to lie the country into war, undermine and destroy the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and lead the world to Nuclear War.

Israel has killed everyone but Hezbollah! 1000 plus civilians (more likely 2000 after more rubble is cleared), aid workers, UN peacekeepers.

And who is Hezbollah? Besides your bloodthirsty rhetoric? Hezbollah is a social organization. They feed hungry people, give seed money for startup businesses, and yes they have a military arm. They are not a terrorist organization and the EU has refused US pressure to declare them so. They only started firing rockets into Israel after Israel was killing mass numbers of Lebanese civilians. For a long time now they have said they would only act in retaliation and have upheld that. Israel on the otherhand is the aggressor and was planning this destruction of Lebanon for some time. Israel has admitted so. Bush has said so.

Israel has no respect for the Lebanese border and routinely violates it. Hezbollah responds, as would any people when an aggressor is attacking them.

Bush and Israel can claim something all they want, but it doesn't make it so any more than Germany claiming self defense in it's invasion of Poland was accurate.

Sorry man but you really do have a couple screws loose.
I dont understand your logic. You seem to think civilian casualties are a good thing????? Is this the case?? Or just that they dont really matter, in order to protect the "good guys"?
