Hi, I use a 12" G4 PB and live 3.02 Since i have been using live 3, i have been having problems with about every 20-30 minutes or so, i get a huge glitch throughout the whole program. The sound skips and distorts for a half a second, goes out of sync, and then goes back to being in synnc like nothing ever happened. I sync Live to my drum machine via MID clockk, and i used to assume this was the problem, but as of late i have been working on songs with all the drums recorded and playing in live and i still get this happening sporadically and for no obvious resaon. has anyone else experienced anything like this?
Also i believe the SupaTrigga plug makes live extremely unstable. When i have this plug in a song, i find live crashes out of the blue, and oftentimes crashes after saving a song....it's a fantastic plug in, but i know there has already been problems in live using it (couldn't open songs with it saved) is this a known problem as well?
Hope someone can shed light on these things....Live was like a rock for me for the first few months of owning it, and it's seemingly getting weirder and more sketchy now
thanks

Have you tried a version of your song with all the VSTs pulled out and temporarily "nulled" your VST folder (ie temporarily renamed the folder or changed in LIVE's preferences to point to an empty folder)?
Try that, and if everything is hunky dory with just LIVE's internal FX it would seem to implicate one or several VSTs. Remember to reboot the LIVE-only run from scratch and do a "Save as" for your VST-less song so all conditions are exactly the same otherwise.
Then start adding VSTs back a few at a time until flakiness occurs.
On my Tibook 500, LIVE is definately a happier camper running on internal sync rather than chasing.
Have had probs with Supatrigger in the past, but haven't tried it in critical situations to be sure, but I don't have it in the VST folder for live gigs - Not sure what the latest verdict is on this...anyone?
Hope this helps

Guest, regarding your VST problem. Do you use Live 3.0.2? If not, please download the free upgrade.

still happens
Random Audio Dropouts is happening with many of the users.
No it doesn't have something to do with the buffer size nor RAM. People with the latest
Powerbooks, people with the latest OSX, people with latest 828mk2 users, are all
complaing about this RANDOM AUDIO DROP OUTS !
This problem has not been fixed for a pretty long time, and people are still complaing.
Check out the forums.
Amazing how everyone is still having the same problem.
DO NOT USE LIVE4 ON STAGE !!
or you will get a very loud RIP from the SPEAKERS.
i repeat,
OSX, MOTU USERS, DO NOT USE LIVE4 ON STAGE.
untill ableton decides to fix the bug.
