Problem in 5.2.1 and EnergyXT 1.4 beta

Post by roby » Fri Aug 18, 2006 4:17 pm

Hello, anyone have this problem?

So I load either eXT in effect or instrument mode in Live, when I click the [open] button it opens up only the open window header but no the complete window. nothin happens when I click the [x] to close it, and I can't move or control anything within Live. It frozen but not crash-related it seems...

... I just tested it again and what happens is that when I open an XT window it starts to look retarded and I can't access anything...

I posted this problem in KVRAudio EnergyXT forum and apparently other XT user assure that it is a Live problem because EnergyXT worked fine with Live 5.2

this is the 'open' issue

this is a similar issue when trying to open the sampler GUI

As I do not think there will be a bug fix for 5.2.1 I just hope Ableton does not overlook this problem in Live 6 (I wish I could beta test that... :? )

Just to let you know, the problem with eXT is present in LIVE6. The Abes know about it.

It may well be related to the fact that you can't open two GUIs of the same VST in either 5.2.1 or 6.

Don't know what went wrong or where, as this wasn't an issue before.

So, cross your fingers.

Best,
