Will audio drops be kicked out of Live 6

Post by aMute » Sat Aug 12, 2006 11:36 pm

I am still experiencing a lot of audio drop outs and cpu peaks in Live 5.2.

Does the ableton live team has fixed that bug for the sixth ?

Cheers.

Are you sure this is a bug and not just your setup?

I get peaks, but they never lead to audio dropouts, even when playing 4 hour long sets.
MBP 2.4 & a shit load of Faderfoxes!

God I HOPE so, I get these drop outs too. But mine are very sporadic - I dunno WHEN they will happen, or IF they will. Sometimes I can play an arrangement I am doing at home one day and it will be fine - the next day the same file could have these audio dropouts. TBH, as much as I ilike Ableton, I have NEVER had this problem with ACID (I do a lot of remixes and have tones of audio in my 'mega' mixes)

I don't really experience "dropouts" i Experience Studders. I've been using Live since version 3 and this never happend until version 5.

As the previous poster stated it's not something you can track down as to what causes it. It seems totally random. Totally rocks when trying to record a drum/key part:)

It happened AGAIN to me yesterday - I played out a mix (albeit at home) just to check it out - and lo and behold ANOTHER bit of sound loss for no reason. I can't pin point the problem as it so RANDOM in it's occurence. I have a fast laptop so am buggered as to why this is doing this. I have looked at the manual and followed it. Got ASIO selected in audio, 768 buffered, no ram selection on all my clips.....and still I get dropouts of audio. It's the only thing that pisses me off about this program - everything else is excellent!!!
