Live sending out sysex info to control outboard hardware-
effects units, lighting, etc...

So, for instance when you choose a scene, the vocal effects for that scene
are mapped to your outboard effects unit ...

Could lead to a million possibilities...

MIDI Clips would do that quite nicely. Clips of note data, clips of controller data, clips of sysex data. That'll do nicely.
