Long loops take a long time to respond when editing

I've noticed that some full length stuff (10 min), is really hard to work with on Mac 1.5.? ... When I try to line up the beats, I move the start position and it takes a while for live to update the new position (5-25 seconds). This makes it really hard and TIME CONSUMING to tell when it has changed.

Additionally, the graphic representation of the playback head tends to become inaccurate. If I watch the playback bar scan over the image of the audio and note the location of the 1, and then set the start position to this location visually, it doesn't seem to playback the same part of the song. The offset is inaccurate by over a minute or more....

I had to create a new audio file with a small section of the original file and get the original tempo figured out from that, then reopen the long version, type the BPM into the info in Live and then slowly try to find the 1st beat of a measure.

I experience this as well, I sometimes create loops four minutes or longer and this can slow program response i have found. not a big deal for production, but can't picture this being a good thing in a gig.

I also get a short interuption of the file currenly playing when I audition (pre listen) a long file ie. a finished 5 minute track. Computer is P4 1.8 Ghz so am sure that is fast enough to handle audio. This is not good when playing a live set and getting glitches everytime you click on a file for prelistening.

Anyone else had this?
