Actually I think it's the other way round. You recorded a mono source to a stereo track and now you want it centered. No?
Try inserting a Utility with zero width.
Or are you really trying to do the impossible?

if you need the actual .wav file to be stereo you could use soundforge channel converter. or with live you could simply render with no fx. The rendered output will be your stereo .wav. I dont really see why you would want to do this anyway since all clips are treated as stereo nomatter what they are. Just insert pretty much any stereo fx like phaser, auto filter, chorus...etc on your mono clip and the output will be stereo.

(Tries to lose arrogant posture)
OK. What, apart from being mono, is the matter with the original recording? If it's really mono, it can't be converted to stereo in any relevant sense. As the other poster says, you can still do stereo things to it in Live. Or pan it. Or anything.
My original post hinted at a misunderstanding of mono and stereo. Sorry if it sounded crude.

2 identical, aligned mono tracks hard panned L + R will still be mono to your ears. Is the problem that he only hears the vocal out of one side (per Machinate), otherwise I don't get what the issue is?bgone wrote:Couldn't you also just put the mono wave file on two seperate audio tracks and pan them left and right accordingly?
