tune down some 808 toms and layer them under your bass.

hey guys ... please ... what is a good VST for Bass ... or how about the best vsts for Bass ... what kind of Bass? Well the whole Trip Hop bass.... that warm and round sound that has no qualities of a synth... (Bass sounds like Massive Attack, Portishead, Thievery Corporation, Kruder and Dorfmeister) Sure they used bass guitars, however bass vsts (from my knowledge) can emulate this as well and was wondering if you guys knew of any.

Personally I wouldn't used a VST... I would use a real bass.
However, I might combine this with a low bass sound patch I made in Moog Modular V.
