Midi Drum Keys

Post by darthbrooklyn » Tue Aug 29, 2006 9:16 am

When i use a Live drum set like the Montreal Studio set, it seems that the drums triggers are mapped to the C3 octave on my midi controller. How can i set the same drums to be triggered by the C1 octave on my keyboard.

I ask because i loaded some Midi drum files, and Live is putting all the drum parts 2 octaves lower than where my Live drums are, so basically nothing is playing..

Alternatively, If i cant remap the drum triggers to the C1 octave, how do i move the midi notes from the midi file to the C3 octave?

Please help as i have been trying to resolve this for a while.. Thanks

I think Live's midi Pitch plugin will help, it will take the incoming notes and re-allocate them to the octave you need them to go to. Spin the pitch dial and listen to what comes out.

It's with all of Lives other Midi plugins, right above all of Lives audio devices, in the browser.

you should refer to the manual if you don't know where things like Arpegiator, Scale or Pitch live
