Changing BPM tempo within single Mix-CD project

Im new to the forum, and just started using Live 5 about 2 months ago.

I use Live to create Mix CD's while I am at my day job. So Far, I have only been able to create projects with 'one' tempo value. For instance, I am having Ableton automatically warp 20 tracks and I am arranging/auto-mixing them together into a MIX CD type compilation at 95BPM.

The question that I have is:
- is it possible for me to keep the first 20 songs of the MIX CD project at 95BPM, then add 20 more songs, and have them play at 100BPM? (So the MIX CD project will consist of 20 songs mixed at 95BPM, and the next 20 songs of the project will be at 100BPM.)
I am unsure if ableton has the ability to change the BPM tempo 'mid project'.

anyways.. If there is already a thread out about this, I would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction to find it.

if you searched the forum you would have found the answer but:

In Arrangement view you pop-out the master channel, there you can automate the project tempo.

In Session view you can name a scene "BPM 90" and it will launch at 90 bpm.

I normally use arrangement view only. I do see the master channel track, and i see that I have 'song tempo' chosen from the boxed menu. I also see 2 boxes that have "60 - 200" in it.
I suspect I do something with those boxes...(?)


I am not sure If I was clear when I was explaining my situation.

Initially, drag tracks around the 95 BPM range into the arrangement view.
I then arrange them to their respective "mix in" and "mix out" points.
I align all the beats that were auto-warped, so that the mix is continuous.

Now , I want to keep the first set of tracks at a 95 BPM tempo. I then want to be able to drag tracks that are around the 100BPM range into the arrangement view, and have those songs be auto-magically beat-mixed at around the 100BPM tempo.
So I will have the first set of tracks running at 95BPM, then the second set of tracks at 100BPM. Then I want to *Render* the entire project to a 'wav' file.
So the 'wav' file will consist of 20 x (95BPM) tracks and 20 x (100BPM) tracks.... all mixed like a DJ MIX cd.
I will not be performing this Live. Everything is layed out, and 'rendered' to a 'wav' file so that I can burn to a CD for my car.


When you mention 'automate' in the master channel track, I am unsure where to make this setting...(?)

the 60 and 200 boxes are the min and max bpm you'll be working on. When you select the "song tempo" drop down menu you'll get a red line on the master track. This is your "automation line" double click on this line to make a point. Than drag this point to the bpm you want to have.

So on the beginning you set a point at 95 bpm, and at the crosssection you make a 95 bpm point and a 100 bpm point so the bpm will increase.
