can the 6 buttons be assigned to live 5? like rec,play,stop,rew,ffwd and fire scenes?

does the mouse come with special software that hits keys on clicks instead of mousebutton1, mousebutton2, mousebutton3, mousebutton4, etc?

I believe you could use Kensington MouseWorks to program each mouse button to simulate a keypress then use ctrl-K in Live.

You can also assign 2 functions for "chording," where you press 2 buttons at once to get an extra control. They're useful for showing/hiding different parts of the interface, undo, etc.
