Wait for Live 6?

Hi Again

Another day another question for me. Im aware that Live 6 is out in a months time. Should i wait to buy that or get Live 5 with free midi controller for £235

My idea was to then get an upgrade from ableton under this condition

i.e. get a free upgrade as its so late in buying Live 5, however i would have to pay the 99 Euros to get the boxed version which i would want.

What do you lot think?

make sure the live 5 with free midi controller isn't the LITE version of 5. in which case you wouldn't get a free upgrade to 6.

If you want the boxed version of Live 6 then wait, download the demo for now just to get used to it, there is no point paying out an extra 99 euros just for a couple of weeks.

so just to carify. if you pay 235 eu now and then you'll pay 99 eu later and you'll have a midi controller and a boxed version of live 6 in your hands. how much would it cost you to buy live 6 (not 5 first) and the midi controller seperately?

Ive worked out that it would be cheaper getting the Live 5 deal then a 99 Euro uboxed pgrade than paying for the Boxed Live 6 when it came out on its own. For some reason.

Wont the controller be bundled with live 6????

If not, then i would go for live 5, but i wouldnt bother getting a boxed live 6, not for 99 euros anyway. it will only sit on your shelf.

Nope it doesnt come with the controller. The reason why i would get the boxed update is because it includes the Essential Instrument Collection
