Thanks for the reminder Rob. I'd forgotten that it was due out.robtronik wrote:Now out on iTunes. Sounds really interesting. Its been hyped for quite awhile so I'm excited to give it a listen. The previews sound good.
Sounds like he's really transformed his edits into a more musical sound now, which is good.
Released today, btw.

same here. i've had really good experiences with him. i watched him do finishing touches to NSync's "Pop" mix in his house. i thought i knew almost everything about Logic until i watched him tweak that beat-box breakdown in the song. very inspiring, and very sharing of techniques and tips... and yes, very excitable.robtronik wrote:every interaction with him that I've had has always revealed to me that he's a really nice guy.
super enthusiastic about it all. And when I mean, I mean everything. He's such a wonk and obviously super talented. Good for him.
Cheesy? Well, yes we all have our moments, don't we?
rob.
and i love the new album!!!!!!!!

Is this an iTunes-only release?...or will their be an actual CD?udp wrote:Thanks for the reminder Rob. I'd forgotten that it was due out.robtronik wrote:Now out on iTunes. Sounds really interesting. Its been hyped for quite awhile so I'm excited to give it a listen. The previews sound good.

How would royalties work on that?
Did I mention
that's awesome..he's super talented and seems to do things that totally baffle me...even though his music is not really my thing.ethios4 wrote:

so yeah royalties...i'm sure he's in good w/ tori then to be able to release that
i made a track where i pieced together ofra haza vocals from an a cappella track she did. but of course, it has to stay w/ me...unless i can pleed with her relatives in israel.
heheh
where can i hear samples of this new bt album anyways...i hate itunes music store and their ghetto ass 2 sec. sample trax
My condolences buddy -- keep ya chin up and remember that your mom would want you to be happy and to honor her legacy.ethios4 wrote:rob, thanks for the heads up!!
I will be buying this the day it comes out...I need some soul music right now, and the title seems most appropriate to me today. My mom passed away 2 days ago and I'm getting married in 3 weeks. Binary universe indeed...
And early grats on your wedding.

oh my god this album just made me a fan of BT again. this has been my experience with him (sound familiar??)
loved him in the beginning when i was all into trance (Ima and ESCM period)
Still loved him through MISL when nu school breaks became super popular
Fell off the wagon after his many pop collaborations and the cheesy Emotional Technology.
And now i love him again upon hearing this new release. jesus the man is incredibly talented. he's always been really good at micro edits, and to hear them being put to good use (ie not cutting up some cheesy vocal) is truly incredible. i wish i had 1/10 of the talent he does.

BT seems to have been able to stay ahead of people's expectations. Just when they thought he was going on to produce "pop", he throws this genre defying work at 'em. Kudos to BT. His film work has really broadened him. This album reminds me of his soundtrack to "Monster".
