I love the way Reason's FX work in that you can see where the wires are connected using the back panel.
I was thinking a simpler version of that could work with Ableton. When you touch the plug-in button all of your plug-ins are listed in a list. I thought it would be cool, when the list is activated for a colored line to be drawn from the list to the cell where your effect is activated.
