Hello.
I use Live 5.2.1 to record sessions with a friend.
Live records his incoming stereo track and I accompany using one Operator and 3-4 audio tracks with sample loops and some effects - not such a huge set I think.
The Problem: Often the screen freezes!
Music playing continues, MIDI input works - but I have to wait 2-3 minutes (or more) until Live allows me to edit on the screen again.
Why?
Is my Dell Inspiron 8200 1,8GHz 750MB to old / to weak for Live 5?
System: Windows XP SP2 Pro
Audio: Firewire 410
Live tells me about 30-50% cpu load.
The Windows Task manager often shows more than 50%.
Could it help to enlarge memory from 750MB to 1GB?
Could it help to use an external Harddisk connected via USB?
Thanks
DJHO
Live 5.2.1 freezes - Dell Inspiron 8200 1,8GHz 750MB - Why?
Hmmm, shouldnt be causing you problems with that set up. Its a fair setup, and shouldnt call for a freeze, maybe some high cpu usage, but your memory is fine.. i did a little searching and came up with this... might want to look into it
